Short Track N-Scale Model Railroad Guild

Visitors

What to expect when you visit…

The Short Track Model Railroad building is located at the far west end of the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum (AGSEM) in Vista, California. Currently, we welcome visitors on Saturdays and Sundays between 10 am and 4 pm, where you can usually see members running trains around the Donner Pass Exhibit or building the Feather River Route. Feel free to ask questions of any member or to take pictures of the layouts and enjoy the history and miniature artistry. QR codes can be found on the fascia board which can be used to bring up historical information and the significance of the place or town near them.

For children, we have a smaller layout just to the left of the entrance called the Scenic Route where they can actually drive the train themselves and imagine being an engineer!

For those who like a challenge, we have a number of scavenger hunts where participants can look for specific historical buildings and places or even find “out-of-place” strange and humorous miniature scenes taken from popular books and movies.
